After being captivated by seasons 1-3, season 4 left me feeling as jilted as Eleanor was by Finn. Season 1-3 were great but Season 4 was awful. Changing the whole set, removing family from the plot, the way the episodes were filmed....what brainless idiot thought of that? Only Seasons 1-3 are worthy.

Eleanor encourages her father to be clement when his estranged sister Emily returns 20 years after her scandalous elopement with a married man. Eleanor is adjusting to life on her own after her father's wedding. One women was determined to change that. Wealthy widow Alice Costigan invites Robert to stay at her country home, filling him with hope that romance might be on the cards - but he's not the only one vying for her affections. In the meantime, Robert has calmed down a bit and is now resigned to the marriage, and allows Eleanor to move back home until the event, now set to take place at Marlybone Church on the 14th of next month.
