I'd seen this a long time ago and remembered being annoyed at the first-person camera trick, but now I see why that was used as it helps with the new face he gets if we don't see the old one. I am not expecting a deep psychological thriller from a 1940s noir film, but the level of contrived plot twists was too much for me. But don't let that fool you, its a great underrated gem. The two men fight, and Baker falls to his death. Rarely do I watch a film that is considered a great classic and not recognize it as such, but it's bound to happen once in a while and here's one of them.
