If battery froze solid it's done for. Not here to start a war about is it good or bad, I think it's crazy, but others may like it. This is only one reason that you may get that message, so if you have not replaced the batteryand get this message, there is probably something else wrong.

Whenever you replace the battery or recharge it externally, the BMS has to learn the new state of charge of the battery. Well I've gone back and had another look in the Body Control Module via the latest FORSCAN update and cant find any reference to a battery let alone a reset option. It seems to me that there is/was an availability in some of the Mondeo's, up to around the 2010 /2011 models, to be able to reset a new battery via a BMS availability and then in models from 2010 up to 2014 the BMS option was NOT available for some reason. Then the next morning the car was dead, and I needed another jump when I was leaving work that afternoon.
